The candidate must have knowledge of PLC's, motor controls, 3-phase electricity and be able to perform a wide range of duties, relating to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, unscheduled maintenance and preventative maintenance of industrial presses, die cutters, sheeters, folding gluing machines, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, VFD Drives and other automated equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components and maintain facility related systems and equipment.
• Conduct trouble shooting of complex equipment and systems. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements to maintenance program and system design.
• Perform unscheduled, preventative and predictive maintenance and troubleshoot with minimal supervision, complex facilities equipment and systems.
• Organize and maintain inventory of all components/supplies needed for maintenance.
• Coordinate and track work assignments.
• Contact vendors and contractors and solicit proposals as necessary.
• Specify and prepares purchase orders for components/supplies and track their associated invoices.
• Organize and maintain inventory of all supplies needed for maintenance.
• Participate in overtime and weekend work as required.

Incumbents at this level work on complex assignments. Job complexity involves resolving problems in which considerable initiative and judgment are required. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Errors are difficult to detect and would cause significant loss of time, considerable expense or customer/user dissatisfaction. Must be willing to work 2nd shift and overtime.
